These works represent hopeful visions that honour peaceful coexistence with the nature surrounding us. I want to celebrate the power of untouched nature, through stories about personal experiences of visited places and golden moments, and how it affects our identity, connection and security.
The landscape's recognisable elements gives the viewer an entry, making it easier to form a deeper and more personal connection with the artwork.
My pastel paintings can be seen as idylls, they celebrate harmonious and contemplative moments expressed on paper through composition, colour and style. The works are created in the meeting between memories and moods, the colours are woven together into poetic expressions to convey the lyrical qualities of the landscapes. I move between the place-specific and a pure abstract expression.
