I enjoy working with soft pastels, moulding the colours into shapes and blending them with my fingers. I like to build the compositions layer by layer. It’s pure joy in creating something new without preconceived ideas on where I am heading. By changing the paper I can change both my technique and the expression I’am after.

I love the freedom my work allows me, the excitement in creating something new. I like to use elements from landscapes in my work but it is also very freeing to work in an abstract mode where everything depends on colour and composition. It’s all about being open to new experiences.

The studio is placed in my garden, its a private and peaceful spot, close to home and to my family. The garden is a big inspiration for me. The sense of tranquility and optimism I find there are elements that I try to bring into my work.
